About Me
Hi, I’m Dominik Schnitzer.
Music Computing is my main interest and focus in my PhD studies. I’m working on Music Similarity and Automatic Playlist Generation.- I love traveling and backpacking the world. I’ve already been to Argentinia, Peru, Bolivia, India, Venezuela, Columbia, Paraguay, the US, Egypt and in pretty every Country in Europe.

- I’ve a passion for Opensource. I’ve organized and run the Mozilla 1.0 and Mozilla Firefox 1.0 party site, participated on linuxvideo.org, we enabled first DVD playback for Linux (DeCSS, oms, …). Wrote small patches for Opensource projects like Evolution, Mozilla Firefox and if I’m allowed I’m publishing my latest research results as small opensource projects.
- I like running and sports – I’ve finished the Vienna City Marathon below 4 hours and I’m a steady visitor in my fitness center.
- I finished school and studies with distinction and I’ve already worked for quite a few companies as a researcher, sysadmin, programmer and webdesigner.
