I’ve been heavily involved in working on the music recommender system (MOTS) used in the new Bang&Olufsen BeoSound 5 hi-fi system.
The story about the OFAI/CP involvement was printed in an Austrian Newspaper (Der Standard, printonline). It also appeared online in the news portal ORF Futurezone.

Mirage in Ubuntu and Fedora

Mirage – An Automatic Playlist-Generator for the Banshee Media Player is now included in two major Linux Distributions: Ubuntu and Fedora. Thanks to the packagers and the brave Co-Maintainer Bertrand Lorentz! Mirage was part of my master-thesis. Visit the homepage for more information.

Caroline and I had a beautiful and relaxing week in Lienz. We went there with my brother, my sister and with her friend. Have a look at the pictures and you will notice why Lienz is called the Sunny Town (Sonnenstadt).

Backpacking Indonesia with Caroline

Fantastic Weeks! Caroline and I visited Indonesia. We did a four week trip from Bali to Jakarta: Climbing the famous Bromo Vulcano, relaxing on the pristine beaches on a small Bali Island (Lembongan) and diving through the crowded Indonesian cities. Here is a selection of the best photos.

Best Student Paper Award at the MUM’07

Finished my Master Degree in CS

Finally! I finished my MSc degree in Computer Science (Intelligent Systems) with distinction! In Austria I am now officially a Diplom-Ingenieur. Have a look at my thesis at the project homepage, if you are interested in Automatic Playlist Generation and Intelligent Music Processing.
Now on to the next academic stop: The PhD! I will start working as an Assistant Researcher at the OFAI Intelligent Music Processing Group in Vienna and the Department of Computational Perception on the Johannes Kepler University in Linz.
