After practcing hard for 6 months, I successfully finished the Vienna City Marathon. I managed to finish below four hours, in exactly 3:49:30h.
This summer I went backpacking Venezuela with my friend Peter. It was absolutely crazy. We saw a wild 10 meter Anaconda (and held it in our hands), went swimming in the Carribean Sea, took a Canyoning & Jungle tour and visited the Angle Falls – the highest Waterfalls of the world. Check out the photos!

Celebrate!
Like for the Mozilla 1.0 parties some time ago, I created a site to register Firefox 1.0 parties: http://www.openforce.at/mozparty2/ (site dead). It was a great success: The site was linked on mozilla.org, spreadfirefox.com and many online news-sites like Heise.de and ORF.at covered it. More than 8000 People registered in 380 parties – there even was a real (!) party planned on a research station on the South Pole).
Of course I organized a Release Party myself: Relase It (2). About 30 people showed up and we even printed T-Shirts – great fun
Of course there are photos.
This year I went backpacking to India. In 7 weeks I traveled about 5000km by train: From New Delhi to Varanasi, to Darjeeling, Kolkata (Calcutta), Puri, Chennai (Madras), Kanyakuman, Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai (Bombay) and many other places. Fortunately Indians speak English, so I wasn’t lost that much. Highlights of my traveling were passing by an elephant right in the city center of Dehli, an invitation to a real Hindi marriage, the beautiful mountains of Darjeeling, the Bars of Bangalore, Beaches of Goa, Mumbai and and and. Have a look at the photos! – maybe you can spot the elephant, which i tried to picture out of my auto rickshaw
